Knight's career began in the 1970s, when she was just a teenager. Music was her passion, and she beganplaying and writing songs with her siblings in their family band. Soon after, she was writing and producing songs for other artists, and it wasn't long before she was crafting some of the biggest hits of the era.
Some of her biggest successes include writing and producing the hit songsLove Is a Battlefield for Pat Benatar,The Best for Tina Turner, andTonight I'm Yours for Rod Stewart. She also wrote and produced songs for KISS, one of the most iconic rock bands of the decade.
